Quick & Easy Picture Jars

My sister handed down these Christmas cracker jars to me awhile back. I thought they were adorable but...

seasonal and I wanted to use them year round so I simply decoupaged pictures of my babies on them. I do not have pictures of the process but it is pretty self-explanatory. I printed the pictures off my computer just the size I needed to fit the jar. I got out my handy Mod Podge and attached them right to the jars with a layer over top to keep them nice...

These actually ended up in their closets for now because they are large and glass so I did not want them to be easy to access. Someday they will be on display.

Big Sister's jar holds her mini stuffed animals...

Little man's jar holds his blocks...

And just for fun since I have a slight obsession with jars, here are some other ways I fill them up in my home...

I love the endless possibilities with jars. They are so versatile fitting into any decor and so much fun! I have a collection of bouncy balls started (thanks to my sister) for a jar in Tyson's big boy room someday. So, tell me what are the jars in your home filled with?

Won't you join me at these link parties by clicking here? They are so much fun and filled to the brim with inspirational ideas.

Happy Tuesday!

Tiffany...WHERE do you get all of your jars? I'm just beginning to discover the boundless uses for such things, but am having a hard time finding them without breaking the bank ya know?! Any suggestions...

I only have 3 jars...filled with Kool-Aid/Tea/Hot Chocolate packs/Fruit snacks, wheat flour, and finally Splenda in the 3rd one.

I had a 4th, but since I didn't really need it, it's going to someone I know so she can make a photo jar of baby #3 coming soon. :o)

Tiffany-I love your house of jars! They all fit in so perfectly!! I was thinking of using pictures for a new project...great inspiration!!

Hi, Christy & Yanet. Just wanted to let you know that most of my jars have been gifts or hand-me-downs. However, you can buy all 3 sizes fairly inexpensivev at Wal-Mart & Target. You can buy non-glass jars at scrapbook stores that are great for high shelves and places where you don't want a lot of weight or want little hands to knock down!

Hope that helps!

Very neat idea!

Like you I cannot resist glass jars, especially the older ones, and I use them for absolutely everything! Pantry, craft supplies, lace, display...
plus I like to see everything, then you don't forget it's there!

Very cute... I also have a slight obsession with glass jars... actually containers of any type. I just blogged about some numbered ones I made yesterday and have another blog ready about a different jar for tomorrow. There are worse things... that's what I keep telling myself. Yours came out SUPER cute!

I too like glass jars I buy most of mine at garage sales and thrift stores. They are great for storage but I never thought of decorating them. This is a great idea.
