Confessions From Thursday...my thoughts of year

WARNING: None of these confessions will probably come as a surprise to you...
(but I hope you enjoy them anyway!)

Confession #1: I came into the blogging world feeling "uber-competitive." Yikes, can I say that out loud? I mean, I know we all feel it at some point right? When Erin asked me to work with her and Tiffany to start a blog, I had NO clue what I was doing. I had barely started my own blog and didn't even know what a "linky" party was! I felt like if I was going to cut it at all in this world, I had to be good. It was an unbelievable amount of pressure. When every post turned up just a little less than perfect, I was disappointed in myself. THANKFULLY two important things happened...I was so humbled by the gorgeous projects I came across from readers every week, AND you guys constantly supported us in the best weeks and the worst. It's not about perfection...thank goodness for that!

Confession #2: I love holidays! Let me say that again, I LOVE HOLIDAYS! And that is a much easier confession to make than the previous one. Maybe its the stores putting out the seasonal candies in that cute middle aisle that just gives me a sugar high, but I love everything holiday related. I think I have my mom to thank for this, seeing is how she is the queen of traditions. As I looked back over my pictures from the year, I realized that some of my favorite posts were holiday inspirations. I also decided that I didn't have enough holiday posts over the past year, so you guys better WATCH OUT! Let me know if it becomes too much friends, ok? I entrust this important job to you!

Confessions #3: Blogging has made me a remodelholic. When I think back to what my house looked like before this blog, sometimes I cringe. The haphazard placement of furniture, the pictures with their nonsensical placement crawling up every wall in my house....AHHH! One by one I have redone EVERY room in my house, some twice, some three times...some more. As I type this, I am sitting on a couch that has been moved at least 4 times in less than a year. Maybe it's a problem?? All I can say is this: The inspiration I have picked up from all over the link parties and from some of the most fabulous, gorgeous blogs out there has completely transformed my house. I love it!!

Confession #4: I could NOT do any of this alone! Without Erin, this blog never would have taken off and probably would not remain organized. Without Tiffany, I would probably forget how easy it is to make your house look like something out of Pottery Barn. Without Jessica, (well I would just be lonely:)... but I ALSO wouldn't see the value in vintage and out of the box! I cannot imagine doing a blog alone after having some of the best partners in the world!

This year has come and gone so quickly, it's hard to believe it is our birthday already! This blog has been an absolute blessing in so many ways,
I cannot thank you guys enough for sticking with us. What a great community this is to be a part of!

Dont forget to check here, and here for some great birthday giveaways...And stop back Friday for Jessica's thoughts from the year AND for a chance to win a birthday bundle from LTC!

Happy Thursday!!
