Today I am confessing my obsession with pillows. It is not a problem yet, but quite possibly could turn into one. Pillows warm up a house making it cozy and comfortable and I just simply can't get enough of them.

I also have been known to use iron-on transfers on a number of different projects. You can personalize so many things using this wonderful invention. I often use them on pillows to give me a chance to design however I choose. You can scan in or type whatever you want on your pillow, print it out as a mirror image, cut it out, and iron it on. It couldn't be simpler and turns out looking fabulous!

Here are some various ideas for using iron-on transfer paper on pillows...

I used a page from a Dick & Jane calendar to create this little pillow for the kids rocking chair in the living room. It sits right next to a basket of books and I thought Dick & Jane would be the perfect addition to our little reading spot. I scanned in the page and printed it off the exact size I needed for my pillow...

There is always the option of monograms. Who doesn't love a good monogram?

I scanned in one of my favorite pages from the Bible, Proverbs 16 & 17. It is fun to be able to pick it up whenever and read some of my very favorite verses.

And of course there is always the good ol' number pillow. I have a serious thing for numbers. They are all over our house and I can't get enough.

The little ballerina of the house got a pink ballet pillow for her bedroom. I used a small sticker for this one. I scanned it and printed it off much bigger than the original size. She loves it.

Also, you can always choose a favorite word or phrase that makes you happy. I made a love pillow for the month of February that sat on a bench in the kitchen.

It's also fun to iron on your word, picture, or phrase to a separate piece of fabric and hand stitch it to your pillow.

My latest pillow creation for the house was our personalized name pillow. This is definitely one of my favorites.

So, as you can see the possibilities are endless. You can use store bought pillow covers or sew your own. You can use any color or font you want for the wordy ones. You can use stickers, book pages, calendars, recipe cards, photographs, etc. to make any kind of pillow that your heart desires.
